CSD and AECID launch Ibero-American alliance for physical activity
The Spanish Higher Council for Sports (CSD), the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), and the University of Castilla-La Mancha are launching an Ibero-American alliance to promote physical activity and health.
From November 3 to December 2, the ‘Regional Meeting for the Intersectoral Alliance in the Promotion of Physical Activity and Health’ will be held virtually via the INTERCOONECTA Virtual Classroom in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. The program aims to strengthen the capacity of public administrations across Ibero-America to design and evaluate policies that combat sedentary lifestyles and improve population well-being.
The training is designed for professionals in sports, health, education, urban planning, and mobility. To support this initiative, AECID is providing 40 scholarships for participants from the region. The academic coordination is led by Dr. Susana Aznar Laín. This effort is part of a broader cooperation plan that includes digital empowerment and a regional network for measuring the impact of sports and physical education.
