Alcalá de Guadaíra announces new brotherhood headquarters and academic awards
The Hermandad de la Tercera Palabra has held a ceremony to lay the first stone for its future Casa Hermandad in Alcalá de Guadaíra. Located on a 612-square-meter plot on Santiago de Chile Street, the new facilities aim to provide a dedicated space for religious services, institutional activities, and the preservation of the brotherhood's heritage. The event was presided over by the auxiliary bishop of Seville, Monsignor Teodoro León Muñoz.
In separate municipal developments, the Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council has launched the 'Premios al Mérito Académico Ciudad de Alcalá' for the 2026-2027 academic year. The program features a total fund of 80,900 euros distributed across 161 individual awards. These include 700-euro grants for local students entering university and specific awards for those pursuing higher vocational training.
Additionally, the municipality is conducting the third call for RELANZA-T, a program designed to improve employability. The initiative offers 21 training itineraries covering sectors such as administration, commerce, marketing, IT, and construction.
