Alcalá de Henares man stabbed by stepfather during family dispute

A 25-year-old man is in serious condition after being stabbed during a family dispute in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. The incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, October 17, in a residence on Calle Laguna.

According to emergency services and police reports, the altercation involved two brothers and their stepfather in the presence of their mother. During the physical fight, the 42-year-old stepfather allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab the younger man in the right hemithorax.

Emergency medical personnel from SUMMA 112 stabilized the victim at the scene before transporting him via mobile intensive care unit to the Hospital de La Princesa in Madrid, where he remains in serious condition.

The stepfather was detained by the National Police at the scene. He also sustained a head injury during the fight, reportedly struck with a stick by a family member. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the domestic violence incident to determine criminal responsibilities.
