Alcamo reopens parking area near Castello dei Conti di Modica

The parking area in front of the Castello dei Conti di Modica in Alcamo has reopened to the public following several months of maintenance and redevelopment work. The project involved resurfacing Piazza della Repubblica, where old pavement was replaced with stamped asphalt to improve safety and aesthetics for both pedestrians and motorists.

Vice Mayor Alberto Donato noted that the area served as a logistical hub for various extraordinary maintenance and safety interventions. While the parking area is now accessible, work in the vicinity is ongoing. This includes the installation of lamination tanks designed to mitigate the impact of heavy rainfall and improve the area's resilience to intense weather events.

Additionally, maintenance work has been completed on the first section of via Madonna del Riposo, involving scarification and the application of new bitumen. These efforts are part of a broader municipal program aimed at enhancing urban safety and functionality throughout the city center.
