ALCO poll shows Greek concern over Turkey and ministers
A new ALCO opinion poll reveals significant public concern in Greece regarding national security and government performance. According to the survey, 51% of respondents expressed anxiety about a potential confrontation with Turkey, a level of concern that ALCO head Kostas Panagopoulos noted has not been seen in approximately five years.
Regarding government administration, 54% of citizens stated that ‘none’ of the current ministers are successful. Among those who did identify successful ministers, Nikos Dendias led with 23%, followed by Kyriakos Pierrakakis at 15%, Adonis Georgiadis at 8%, and Kostis Hatzidakis at 7%. Within the New Democracy voter base, Dendias holds a 53% approval rating for success.
On other matters, 60% of respondents view the signing of the ‘Achilles Shield’ agreement as significant. Additionally, the poll highlighted concerns regarding digital security, with 38% of respondents reporting that someone in their immediate environment has been a victim of, or a target of, electronic or telephone fraud.
