Alcochete fuel seizure: 4,200 liters confiscated by GNR

The National Republican Guard (GNR) seized approximately 4,200 liters of fuel from a warehouse in Alcochete, located in the Setúbal district. The operation was carried out by the Montijo Territorial Detachment following a report regarding the presence of various fuel containers at the site.

During the intervention, which included support from the Setúbal Intervention Detachment, authorities identified three individuals, aged between 28 and 34, who were present at the warehouse attempting to collect the fuel. Because the individuals could not justify the possession or origin of the fuel, the GNR seized 210 full 20-liter jerrycans, 16 empty 20-liter jerrycans, and six liquid tanks with 1,000-liter capacities.

Additional items seized during the operation included a light vehicle, two pallet jacks, cargo-carrying equipment, three protective tarpaulins, a ratchet tightening strap, and a bag of various plastic jerrycan lids. The three individuals have been formally charged.
