Alcoy announces photography and drawing contests for European Funds
The Alcoy City Council has announced two competitions to mark the Annual Act of European Funds, scheduled for November.
The photography contest, titled ‘Miradas que transforman Alcoy’ (Views that transform Alcoy), is open to all residents of Spain. Participants can submit collections of four photographs or individual works using various techniques, including digital, photomontage, or collage. Notably, images generated by artificial intelligence will not be accepted. The contest offers a 1,000 euro Honor Prize for the best collection, along with several other cash prizes for individual and collection categories. Selected works will be displayed in a collective exhibition at the Parc Tecnològic Urbà de Rodes from November 12 to December 31.
The second competition, ‘Europa dibuja Alcoy’ (Europe draws Alcoy), is a school drawing contest specifically for 5th-grade primary students in the municipality’s public and subsidized schools. This contest aims to have students illustrate how European Union collaboration contributes to improving the city and the lives of its inhabitants.
