Alcázar de San Juan hosts healthcare conference on evidence-based care

Approximately 150 healthcare professionals gathered in Alcázar de San Juan for the IV Conference on the Implementation of Scientific Evidence for Excellence in Care. The event, held at the Emilio Gavira Theater, focuses on applying scientific evidence to clinical practice to improve care quality, safety, and patient-centered standards.

Montserrat Hernández, the Director General of Care and Quality for SESCAM, noted that the implementation of best practices has become consolidated within the regional healthcare system. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between research results and daily patient assistance through nursing leadership and networked teamwork.

The Alcázar de San Juan and Albacete management offices were among the first in Castilla-La Mancha to adopt this evidence-based model. Currently, six management offices are part of the program of Centers Committed to Excellence in Care, with more expected to join in future calls.
