Alcázar de San Juan joins Castilla-La Mancha tourism network

Alcázar de San Juan has officially joined the Network of Tourist Municipalities of Castilla-La Mancha. The recognition was presented during the II Regional Tourism Forum held in Sigüenza, acknowledging the city's recent efforts to enhance its resources and attract visitors, which has resulted in record-breaking tourism numbers.

During the ceremony, Tourism Councilor Bárbara Sánchez-Mateos accepted a commemorative plaque on behalf of the city. Alcázar de San Juan is among 11 municipalities recently added to the network, including locations such as Almagro, Villanueva de los Infantes, and several towns in Guadalajara, Albacete, and Cuenca.

Castilla-La Mancha President Emiliano García-Page announced that a new order providing one million euros for tourism initiatives will be made public before the end of the year. This funding is intended for the 27 municipalities that currently hold the status of Tourist Municipalities.
