Spain municipalities launch autumn cultural and social programs

Various Spanish municipalities are launching diverse cultural and social programs for the upcoming autumn season.

In Valencia, the International Fireworks Festival returns on October 8 at the Montolivet bridge, featuring performances by Italy’s Pirotecnica San Pio and local firm Caballer FX. This coincides with the 9 d’Octubre celebrations. Similarly, Alcoi and Monóvar have announced extensive schedules for the 9 d’Octubre festivities, including book fairs, music, and traditional parades.

Several cities are also dedicating time to senior citizens. Alcázar de San Juan, La Roda, Torrent, Cádiz, and Cáceres have all organized weeks or months of activities for older adults, focusing on health, intergenerational social connection, and cultural engagement to mark the International Day of Older Persons.

Other regional cultural highlights include the recovery of historical organs in Andalusia through a concert cycle, new autumn-winter programming in Alcalá la Real, and various art exhibitions in Rojales and Salamanca.
