Aldair Neves eyes Angola national team call-up

Levski Sofia right-back Aldair Neves is reportedly in contact with the Angolan football federation regarding a potential call-up to the national team. The 27-year-old, who was born in Portugal to Angolan parents, has expressed a strong desire to represent the ‘Palancas Negras’.

Aldair has seen a significant rise in performance since stepping into the starting lineup following an injury to teammate Oliver Kamdem. His recent displays in Champions League qualifiers and Europa League matches against Salzburg and NEC Nijmegen have solidified his position at the club.

Following his improved form, Aldair has signed a contract extension with Levski Sofia that runs until the summer of 2028. While there has been reported interest from Turkish club Samsunspor, the defender remains focused on his development and his goal of playing international football for his parents' homeland.
