Romualdez was arrested at Cardinal Santos Medical Center following a Sandiganbayan warrant related to a P7.4-billion plunder case involving alleged flood-control anomalies. Authorities allowed Romualdez to remain in the hospital after he experienced cardiovascular issues and anxiety following the arrest.

In contrast, the shared post featured Vidal, who was detained in Cebu City for allegedly violating an anti-mendicancy ordinance. Vidal, who claimed he was playing a harmonica to earn food for his grandchild rather than begging, was reportedly beaten and jailed.
