Aldergrove Fair draws 10,000 visitors with new family attractions
The Aldergrove Agricultural Fair and Festival Association is hosting the annual Aldergrove Fair from July 17‑19 at Kinsmen Park field in Langley, British Columbia. The volunteer‑run nonprofit, led by president John Keightley, reported roughly 10,000 attendees over the past two years.
The three‑day event features traditional agricultural exhibits, 4‑H animal displays, pig races, tractor‑pull competitions and vintage farm‑museum equipment. New attractions this year include a train ride pulled by a garden tractor, an escape room, a virtual‑reality booth, an expanded children’s area with a bouncy‑castle zone, and additional snack and refreshment stations. About 50 volunteers are assisting with setup, visitor services, ticket sales and other operations.
Keightley highlighted the importance of community involvement, saying the fair would not operate without the volunteers’ help and emphasizing the joy of seeing “happy children, folks singing and dancing along to the music.”
