Aldergrove softball tournament raises funds for child with cancer

A softball tournament held in Aldergrove raised funds to support the family of Kane Moore, a six-year-old from Chilliwack diagnosed with kidney cancer in August. The Mangat family tournament brought together 12 teams from across the Lower Mainland, featuring more than 150 players and a concert by the AC/DC tribute band Rock or BUST.

Organizer Justin Mangat noted that while the event aimed to raise $5,000, the final total fell just short of that goal due to high expenses and missing sponsorships. The Mangat family intends to seek larger business partnerships in the future to increase the funds provided to families facing cancer. The tournament's A pool was won by Balls and Dolls, while the Belly Itchers took the B pool title.
