Aldi and Subway announce new product and marketing initiatives

Aldi is launching its first collection of store-brand ready-made meals, beginning in October with a nationwide rollout expected by January. The lineup features seven fresh options, including five single-serve meals priced under $8 and two family-size meals priced under $15. Single-serve items, such as a chicken burrito bowl, are designed for microwave preparation in under five minutes, while family-size options like a meat lover’s pizza bake require oven heating.

In a separate move within the food industry, Subway has introduced a new brand platform titled ‘Feed Your SUBconscious.’ The campaign features actor Will Arnett, who portrays the subconscious of consumers seeking better value and healthier alternatives to fast-food burgers and expensive smoothies. This marketing effort marks the first major campaign from Subway’s new creative agency, Martin.
