Aldi expands Tandil detergent line with new XXL packaging
Aldi has expanded its Tandil laundry detergent line by introducing XXL 4.225-kilogram powder packs for both color and universal variants. Priced at 7.99 euros, the larger format offers a lower cost per application—approximately 0.12 euros compared to 0.16 euros for the standard 2.025-kilogram size.
Tandil is manufactured by Dalli-Werke, a family-owned company founded in 1845 that employs approximately 1,800 people and generates over 700 million euros in annual revenue. The manufacturer also produces brands for other retailers, including Lidl, dm, and Penny.
Comparative testing shows that Tandil performs well against premium brands like Persil. In practical tests involving stains such as coffee, red wine, and mustard, Tandil has demonstrated strong cleaning capabilities. Additionally, Tandil is noted for its ingredient profile, which may be more suitable for consumers seeking vegan options compared to certain Persil variants that may contain tallow.
