Aldi jam and Skolima blood sausage reviewed in Poland

Aldi’s Grandessa raspberry jam, sold in a 190 g jar for 7.49 zł, contains 55 % fruit, no added white sugar and uses apple juice concentrate as a natural sweetener. The product also includes water, starch, pectin, salt and citric acid. Reviewers note visible raspberry pieces and seeds, describing a balanced taste that highlights the fruit while remaining affordable.

In a blind taste test, Skolima’s blood sausage was compared with offerings from Sokołów, Kraina Wędlin and Pikok. Testers evaluated appearance, aroma and flavor while blindfolded. Skolima’s sausage was praised for its visual appeal and distinctive casing, earning it the overall win. Sokołów’s version received compliments for its crisp crust, but opinions on texture varied. The test concluded that Skolima’s product stood out as the preferred choice among Polish consumers.
