Aldi launches £15 portable air cooler and £16 jet fan in the UK

Aldi is adding a range of low‑cost “cool air” gadgets to its UK stores as part of a new SpecialBuy promotion. From Thursday, 2 July, shoppers can buy a portable air cooler priced at £14.99 (about $19) and a Jet Fan for £16.99, alongside other items such as a £39.99 globe fan, a £24.99 telescopic fan and various duvet sets.

The products are marketed for use in bedrooms, offices or outdoors and run on USB‑C power, with features like multiple speed settings, detachable water tanks and LED lighting. Their launch coincides with an extreme heat event across England and Wales, where the Met Office has issued red heat warnings and recorded temperatures of up to 36‑40 °C, causing school closures, travel disruptions and pressure on the NHS.
