Aldi Nord announces Retro Week promotion

Aldi Nord has announced a second ‘Retro-Woche’ (Retro Week) starting September 28, 2026. The promotion will feature various former private-label products, including River Eistee in peach and lemon flavors, Karlsquell Edel-Pils, River Cola, and River IsoLight. This follows a similar event in July where certain items, such as River Eistee, sold out quickly and appeared on secondary marketplaces at higher prices.

In addition to these promotions, reports indicate that both Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd, along with competitor Lidl, have increased prices for butter. The price for a 250-gram portion has reportedly risen from 1.05 Euro to 1.19 Euro, representing an increase of approximately 13 percent.

Separately, Aldi continues to stock seasonal German-themed items, such as red cabbage with apple, which is noted as a limited-time product available while supplies last.
