Aldi Nord recalls Ambiano mini-fans over faulty USB-C cables

Aldi Nord has issued a recall for its Ambiano rechargeable mini-fans with stand bases, which were sold as promotional items in stores on June 13, 2026. The recall is due to safety concerns regarding the included USB-C charging cables.

The company warns that the faulty cables can cause permanent damage to connected devices. Affected products can be identified by a specific notch in the strain relief of the USB-A plug and white plastic coating on the USB-C plug. Specific model numbers include 1239-W, 1239-G, and 1239-C, with EANs 4070757014229, 4070757014236, and 4070757014243.

Customers are advised to stop using the charging cables immediately. Aldi Nord is offering full refunds for returns made in-store, even without a receipt. Alternatively, customers can contact the supplier, Globaltronics GmbH & Co. KG, via a free hotline to receive a return label for the device and cable.
