ALDI opens new supermarket in Poughkeepsie

ALDI Poughkeepsie supermarket opening Mid Hudson Center grocery retail

ALDI celebrated the grand opening of its new supermarket at the Mid Hudson Center in Poughkeepsie, located across from Marist University. The facility was developed by converting approximately 20,000 square feet of the former Ocean State Job Lot footprint.

To mark the opening, the grocery chain held a preview shopping event on Wednesday, October 21, followed by a grand opening on Thursday. Hundreds of customers attended the celebration, with the first 200 shoppers receiving gift bags and ‘Golden Tickets’ containing gift cards valued between $5 and $100.

The new location provides Poughkeepsie residents with a local shopping option, reducing the need to travel to Wappingers Falls or other Hudson Valley areas for the retailer's products.
