Aldi partners with Deliveroo for UK grocery delivery

Aldi is launching an on-demand grocery delivery service through a new partnership with Deliveroo in the United Kingdom. Starting in October, the service will be trialed in eight stores, including locations in Norwich, Ipswich, Tamworth, Letchworth Garden City, and Kent.

The collaboration will utilize Deliveroo’s ‘Shop & Deliver’ model, where riders pick, pack, and deliver products directly to customers. While a wider rollout is planned for 2027, the move marks a significant strategic shift for Aldi, which has previously avoided online delivery to protect profit margins and maintain low prices.
