German retailers recall multiple food and personal care products over safety hazards

Aldi Nord has recalled its Chio Dip! Hot Cheese after a labeling error omitted the required milk allergen warning, posing anaphylaxis risk to milk‑allergic consumers. The affected jars carry the best‑by date 06 Dec 2026 and were sold in several German states.

Lidl is withdrawing its Cien Shampoo Feuchtigkeit (400 ml, batch 5231552) after testing detected the bacterium Pluralibacter gergoviae, which can cause respiratory, skin or urinary infections, especially in immunocompromised individuals. The product was available in Lidl stores across Germany.

dm and Rossmann have initiated a recall of various Bae Bites snack bars from the barefood way GmbH after routine testing found aflatoxin levels exceeding legal limits. The contaminated batches could present a health hazard and the items are being removed from shelves.

dm also recalled its babylove Esslernlöffel baby spoon because small parts may detach, creating a choking hazard for infants. The recalled units are being taken off the market and can be returned without a receipt.

Aldi Süd is withdrawing three varieties of Willms Fleisch Schinken‑Zwiebel‑Mettwurst (Vesper, Classic, Paprika) after laboratory analysis identified STEC/VTEC E. coli strains. Consumption can cause severe diarrhoea, abdominal pain and, in vulnerable groups, hemolytic‑uremic syndrome. Affected packs with best‑by dates from 18 June to 24 June 2026 have been removed and customers can receive refunds.

All recalled items can be returned to the respective retailers for a full refund, typically without requiring a purchase receipt.
