Aldi Solar expands to Western Australia with rooftop PV and battery packages
Aldi Australia has launched its Aldi Solar rooftop solar and home‑battery offering in major metropolitan areas of Western Australia, extending the programme to six Australian states and territories. The rollout, developed with supply partner Tempo Group, provides households with a choice of four battery capacities (5‑20 kWh) bundled with a 7 kW or 7.9 kW solar system and a 6 kW inverter, all installed by SAA‑certified installers. The cheapest package, priced at AU$7,499, includes a 5 kWh lithium‑iron‑phosphate battery, blackout protection at no extra cost, a 10‑year warranty and a 25‑year panel performance guarantee.
Group Director Simon Padovani‑Ginies said the expansion aims to help Australian families manage rising energy bills by offering straightforward pricing, trusted installation and an “exceptional payback period”. Customers can also opt for battery‑only packages or check postcode eligibility through the Aldi Solar online portal, with installations typically completed in one day.
