Aldi to launch RFID-protected anti-theft bags in Portugal

Aldi is launching the ‘Live In Style’ anti-theft bag in Portugal on September 5 and 6, 2026. Priced at 6.99 euros, the accessory is designed for travelers and daily commuters to secure documents, money, and cards.

The bag features an RFID-protected pocket intended to block unauthorized wireless reading of contactless bank cards and electronic documents. It also includes a carabiner designed to secure zippers, which serves as a physical deterrent to prevent quick or discreet opening in crowded areas like public transport or tourist zones.

While the bag offers additional obstacles, it is not a true lock and does not prevent the entire bag from being stolen or cut. The product will be available in various colors and formats, and can be worn as either a crossbody or waist bag. Availability is limited to existing stock.
