The match, held at Court 17, marked a rare occurrence in Grand Slam history as it featured two Indonesian tennis players competing against one another. Sutjiadi expressed pride in the moment, noting that such an encounter is infrequent. While she was pleased to play against Tjen, she remarked that she had hoped their meeting would occur in a later stage of the tournament, such as a semifinal or final.
