Aldina Ljubunčić, 29, mourned in Bugojno region after her death

Aldina Ljubunčić died on 5 August 2026 at the age of 29. Her funeral prayer was held in front of the mosque in Čipuljić and she was buried at the Poljice cemetery. Imam of the Voljica congregation, Rešid ef. Bektić, delivered an emotional eulogy, recalling her kindness, humility and the support she gave to others during her illness. He quoted a hadith stating “this world is not worth even as much as a mosquito’s wing” to emphasize the lasting impact of her short life.

The Gornjovrbaska region, including Bugojno and the nearby village of Uskoplje, expressed deep sorrow, with many messages highlighting how Aldina’s generosity and dignity left a lasting impression on family, friends and the wider community.
