Aldi's Quellbrunn mineral water sourced from multiple German springs

Aldi’s own‑brand mineral water, sold under the name Quellbrunn, is not drawn from a single spring. According to the retailer, the Medium variant is bottled from three specific sources: the Vitaqua spring in Wolfshagen, the Noé spring in Erftstadt and the Altmühltaler spring in Treuchtlingen. The Vitaqua source supplies both Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd, while the other two are exclusive to Aldi Süd.

The German Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety lists additional recognised springs used for Quellbrunn products, including the Altmühltaler spring, Erbeskopf in Thalfang, Aquata in Karlsdorf‑Neuthard, the Brandenburger Urstrom source, St. Jakobus in Kloster Lehnin, Werretaler in Löhne and several sites in Breuna. Bottling takes place at modern facilities with automated high‑bay storage, allowing short transport routes and efficient supply to both Aldi divisions.
