Aldo Cazzullo returns to La7 with new season of ‘Una Giornata Particolare’
Aldo Cazzullo is returning to the television network La7 for the fifth season of his cultural program, ‘Una Giornata Particolare’, starting September 30. The new season will feature twelve episodes exploring significant historical moments, including the 1943 armistice, the fall of fascism and Nazism, the Spanish Civil War, and the kidnapping of Aldo Moro.
The program's launch has sparked a public exchange with Roberto Vannacci. Cazzullo invited Vannacci to watch the episode regarding September 8, 1943, suggesting it would correct historical inaccuracies regarding the Decima MAS. Cazzullo noted that while some members of the group remained loyal to the King, others committed atrocities against partisans and civilians.
Vannacci responded by stating he does not have the time to watch the program and characterized Cazzullo as a journalist and popularizer rather than a historian. During the season's presentation, Cazzullo also discussed the importance of culture in politics and suggested that future historical programming might one day need to address contemporary issues such as femicide.
