Alec Bohm settles lawsuit against parents over financial allegations

Philadelphia Phillies infielder Alec Bohm has settled a legal dispute with his parents, Daniel and Lisa Bohm, nearly six months after filing a lawsuit against them. The settlement, confirmed by Bohm’s attorney, includes confidential terms.

The lawsuit, filed in Philadelphia County, alleged financial mismanagement regarding the handling of Bohm’s professional baseball earnings through limited liability companies (LLCs). Bohm claimed his parents misrepresented their ownership stakes in these entities and used sizeable amounts of his money for personal expenses. He had originally sought a judgment of at least $3 million, along with the return of over $500,000 that he alleged was moved to a trust for legal purposes.

Daniel and Lisa Bohm denied the allegations throughout the proceedings, asserting that any lack of financial knowledge on their son’s part was due to his own lack of interest while he focused on his baseball career. The legal battle, which involved disputes over LLC ownership and the use of funds from the Alec Bohm Foundation, has now concluded out of court.
