Alejandra Guzmán cleared for comeback after multiple surgeries

Mexican rock singer Alejandra Guzmán announced she has been medically cleared after undergoing ten surgeries, including a delicate cervical‑spine operation that resolved her hernias and restored mobility. She said, “Estoy totalmente regenerada, rehecha. Puedo durar 38 años más en el rock and roll,” and expressed gratitude for regaining the ability to sing and dance without pain.

Guzmán also unveiled details of her new tour, titled “Los que nos quedamos,” which will feature a mix of past hits and new material, and hinted at a special guest performance involving a robot from China. In a press conference she clarified a recent controversy, confirming she had falsely claimed her daughter Frida Sofía was pregnant and had apologized for the remark.

She recounted a long‑term struggle with polymer injections that damaged her face and cervical vertebrae, noting that only the surgeon Dr. Joel Sánchez successfully corrected the issue after earlier doctors “destrozaron” her. Guzmán said therapy over the past four years helped her achieve greater emotional stability, allowing her to focus on the upcoming shows.
