Alejandra Salazar bids farewell to Madrid in Premier Padel quarterfinal

In a quarterfinal match at the Movistar Arena in Madrid, world number one duo Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea defeated Alejandra Salazar and Aranza Osoro with a score of 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the semifinals.

The match served as a symbolic farewell for Alejandra Salazar, a padel legend with seven World Championships. Following the match, Triay expressed her emotions regarding Salazar's departure, stating, “Le he dicho que la queríamos y que me daba mucha pena” (I told her that we loved her and that it made me very sad).

Triay and Brea will face Andrea Ustero and Ari Sánchez in the next round. In a separate result, Ustero and Sánchez defeated Orsi-Llaguno with a score of 6-0, 6-7, and 6-2.
