Alejandro Armenta pays 56,969 pesos for vehicle traffic fines

Puebla Governor Alejandro Armenta has paid 56,969 pesos to settle 134 traffic fines incurred by his official vehicle, a 2022 Ford Expedition. The payment was made in a single transaction through the Electronic Collection Platform to the Secretariat of Planning, Finance, and Administration.

José Luis García Parra, the State Cabinet Coordinator, presented the payment receipt to confirm the settlement. He noted that the funds were transferred from a personal bank account belonging to the governor. The fines, which were recorded for speeding violations between March 2024 and June 2026, were settled to demonstrate compliance with road regulations. Armenta previously stated that although he is not typically the driver of the vehicle, he would fulfill his duty as a citizen by covering the costs personally.
