Alejandro Arroz releases documentary on Malvinas War and Kolla family

Director Alejandro Arroz has presented the feature film ‘Tres hermanos en Malvinas’, which chronicles the history of the Vilca Condorí brothers from a Kolla community in Orán, Salta. The documentary explores their involvement in the Malvinas War: Mario, aged 16, died during the sinking of the ARA General Belgrano; Juan Bautista survived the attack; and Anastasio participated in the rescue operation aboard the Bahía Paraíso.

The film extends beyond the military conflict to examine the family's transition from an isolated Andean community to the sea, as well as their subsequent struggle for the recognition of their communal lands and their identity as members of the Kolla people.
