Barcelona defenders Kounde and Balde attract Premier League interest

Several Premier League clubs are monitoring the situations of Barcelona defenders Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde as their roles under manager Hansi Flick change.

Jules Kounde has seen his status as a guaranteed starter diminish, leading to renewed interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, and other English clubs including Arsenal, Manchester United, and Manchester City. Barcelona is reportedly willing to consider offers for the 27-year-old, with some reports suggesting a valuation exceeding £60 million. Kounde, who recently became Barcelona’s most-capped French player, offers versatility as both a centre-back and right-back.

Similarly, Alejandro Balde’s future at the club is uncertain after he was left on the bench during a recent match against Getafe. Clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Benfica have expressed interest in the left-back. However, reports indicate a gap between interest and financial offers, as Barcelona is seeking approximately €40 million, while interested parties have primarily proposed loan deals or lower figures.
