Alejandro Garnacho joins Aston Villa on loan from Chelsea
Argentine forward Alejandro Garnacho, who previously played for Manchester United before moving to Chelsea, has been loaned to Aston Villa for one season. The deal includes an obligation for Villa to buy his contract if certain performance criteria are met. Chelsea sold him for a reported £40 million and retained a 10 % sell‑on clause. Garnacho said he is seeking confidence and a chance to regain his form, adding that manager Unai Emery has given him the belief to succeed.
Villa will face Paris Saint‑Germain in the UEFA Super Cup on 12 August and begin their Premier League campaign on 23 August against Brighton, with Garnacho hoping to contribute to the team's European ambitions.
