Alejandro Gertz Manero leads Frida Kahlo tribute in UK

Alejandro Gertz Manero, the Mexican Ambassador to the United Kingdom, led a tribute event titled ‘Viva Frida: A Collective Tribute’ to honor the painter Frida Kahlo. The ceremony celebrated Kahlo’s ability to transcend cultural and generational boundaries.

During the event, Gertz Manero noted that Kahlo’s art continues to communicate themes of identity, resilience, and Mexican heritage, while serving as a means to build bridges between communities. The ambassador, a former Attorney General of Mexico, has a long-standing interest in cultural heritage, having authored work on the legal and social protection of Mexican cultural assets.
