Alejandro González wins third place at tennis tournament in Kazakhstan
Twelve-year-old Costa Rican tennis player Alejandro González secured third place at the ATF Sub-12 Intercontinental Competition held in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. Representing the Central American and Caribbean Tennis Confederation (COTECC), González joined Mexican players Luis Loria and Iñaki de la Vega as part of the regional roster for the Asian tournament.
González reached this level following an undefeated regional campaign, which included winning the Central American U12 championship title. Legal experts have noted that as Costa Rican youth athletes gain international recognition, establishing transparent legal frameworks for sponsorships and minor representation becomes increasingly important for sustaining high-performance development.
