Alejandro Molinuevo weighs reelection against vice-governor bid

Alejandro Molinuevo, the mayor of Concepción, is weighing two political paths for the upcoming elections. While his primary goal is to seek reelection as mayor, he has confirmed a formal proposal from Lisandro Catalán, a local leader and director of YPF, to join the La Libertad Avanza (LLA) provincial ticket as a candidate for vice-governor.

Molinuevo stated that he prioritizes his current management and the support of local residents, but emphasized his willingness to act as part of a team. He noted that while reelection is his initial preference, he is analyzing the provincial option to determine what is best for the political coalition being formed. He described his relationship with Catalán as very positive and indicated that discussions regarding the provincial formula remain open.
