He explained that the problem is hard to eradicate because many tournaments are sponsored by betting companies, making regulation difficult despite recent measures by governing bodies.

Tabilo highlighted his recent successes, including victories over world No. 1 Novak Djokovic at the 2024 Rome Open and a repeat win at Monte‑Carlo, underscoring that even top players face this abuse. He called the issue a “major challenge for the sport” and warned it will persist as long as betting firms remain key financial partners in tennis.
