Alejandro Talavante discharged from hospital after serious injury in Seville

Bullfighter Alejandro Talavante has requested voluntary discharge from the Hospital Viamed Santa Ángela de la Cruz in Seville to continue his recovery at home. He was hospitalized following a serious injury sustained last Sunday during a festival at the Real Maestranza.

Medical reports from surgeon Octavio Mullet described the injury as a two-trajectory wound to his right thigh, involving a 10-centimeter descending path that damaged the fascia and the vastus medialis muscle, along with a second superficial 4-centimeter trajectory.

Talavante reported that he still experiences significant discomfort and must use a crutch to avoid putting weight on the damaged muscle. He is required to keep surgical staples in place for at least ten days and must return to the hospital next Tuesday for a follow-up examination. Due to the injury, his upcoming appearance in Zaragoza is considered unlikely, and his scheduled season finale in Arenas de San Pedro on October 17 remains uncertain.
