Alejandro Talavante seriously injured during bullfighting festival in Seville
Bullfighter Alejandro Talavante was seriously injured during a charity festival at the Real Maestranza in Seville. Despite earning two ears for his performance against the third bull, Talavante suffered a significant goring to his right thigh while attempting to kill the animal.
Medical reports describe a 10-centimeter descending wound affecting the fascia and the vastus medialis muscle, along with a secondary superficial 4-centimeter wound. Following emergency surgery at the arena's infirmary, he was transferred to Hospital Viamed Santa Ángela de la Cruz for monitoring and further diagnostic tests. The prognosis is currently listed as serious.
The event, held to benefit the Hermandad de la Estrella and Autismo Sevilla, featured performances by João Moura (father and son), César Rincón, Roca Rey, and Pablo Aguado. While the festival saw artistic success, the injury to Talavante has become the central focus of the proceedings.
