Alejandro Talavante to Appear at Pontevedra Fair on September 9

Spanish torero Alejandro Talavante, known for an improvisational and artistic style, will return to the summer fair in Pontevedra on September 9. He will share the program with fellow bullfighters Roca Rey and Marco Pérez. Talavante explained that the ideal mental state for facing a 500‑kilogram bull is to keep the mind “asleep” so the spirit can act, emphasizing that the greatest “transmission” comes when he bullfights for himself rather than to please the crowd. He described his career as a balance between classic technique and spontaneous, almost miraculous intuition, and spoke of seeking the original childhood dream that first drew him to the arena.
