Alejo Barrios Park handed over for Valparaíso celebrations

The National Sports Institute (IND) has officially handed over Alejo Barrios Park in Valparaíso to the Sindicato de Fondas y Ramadas to begin preparations for national holiday celebrations. While the exact opening date for the public has not been set, organizers expressed optimism regarding the event's success despite recent city connectivity challenges.

To ensure public safety, Mayor Camila Nieto announced several municipal measures, including increasing the number of security cameras in the Alejo Barrios sector from eight to 26 and installing new lighting at entrances and exits. Additionally, the municipality is coordinating with the Ministry of Transport and the Presidential Delegation to manage traffic diversions and prevent congestion during the festivities.
