Aleks Syntek addresses mental health crisis and rejected hospitalization

Mexican singer Aleks Syntek has shared details regarding a mental health crisis he experienced during a free concert in Mexico City on September 15, 2026. The singer described the incident, which involved outbursts of anger and anxiety toward the audience, as a result of accumulated stress and emotional exhaustion.

Syntek revealed that medical professionals recommended he be hospitalized in a mental health clinic for six months. He rejected this proposal, describing the idea as “locura” (madness), and instead opted to work with a recommended psychologist, Fernando Núñez, to manage his condition.

The singer noted that he has since recovered and is currently recording a new album. However, the health episode led him to postpone his upcoming European tour, including dates in Spain, Germany, and the United Kingdom, following medical advice to avoid long-distance travel.
