Belgrade Mayor Aleksandar Šapić is facing intense political pressure following allegations of a physical assault on Tanja Mićić, a councilwoman from the Kreni-Promeni movement. The incident occurred in New Belgrade while Mićić was walking with her husband and dog. Mićić claims that Šapić confronted them over accusations that she had brought protesters to his home, and that he subsequently struck her in the face, causing a broken nose.

Šapić has denied the allegations of hitting Mićić, stating that he only pushed her to defend himself during a scuffle with her husband. He characterized the situation as a verbal and physical confrontation initiated by the group. Following the incident, Šapić was taken to a police station by a patrol, but was released shortly thereafter.
