Aleksandar Paunović extradited to Montenegro for murder charges

Aleksandar Paunović, a 36-year-old Montenegrin citizen, has been extradited from Serbia to Montenegro. The extradition was coordinated by NCB Interpol Podgorica with support from the Special Unit of the Serbian Police.

Paunović is wanted in connection with criminal proceedings before the High Court in Podgorica. He faces charges of forming a criminal organization and committing aggravated murder. Specifically, the Special State Prosecutor's Office alleges that as a member of a criminal group led by the internationally wanted Radoje Zvicer, Paunović participated in the murder of Damir Hodžić and Adis Spahić in the Spuž area on October 14, 2020.

The prosecution claims the killings were motivated by revenge and an attempt to establish dominance between rival criminal organizations. The indictment also includes charges related to kidnapping.
