Analyst Aleksandar Radić flees Serbia over alleged state harassment

Serbian military analyst Aleksandar Radić announced he left Serbia after state‑run media broadcast video footage showing him being tracked while his teenage daughter was present. He said the surveillance was part of a broader campaign by the Serbian Progressive Party and the Military Security Agency (VBA) to silence his criticism. Radić claimed authorities seized his computers, threatened to charge him with preparing a coup, espionage for multiple services and extremism, and used a fabricated "sound cannon" affair to justify the pressure. He described previous harassment, including attempts to turn a verbal dispute with a defence official into a scandal. Radić told news agencies that the intense media attention and fear for his child's safety forced him to seek refuge abroad.
