Aleksandar Radić warns of paramilitary structures in Serbia

Military analyst Aleksandar Radić, currently in exile, has warned that parallel security and armed structures pose a significant threat to Serbia's security. Speaking to RTS, Radić described these groups as a shadow paramilitary force, noting that members often wore black clothing and were armed. He claimed these groups possessed surveillance equipment and information analysis software, underwent military training, and utilized shooting ranges along the Danube, including a training center near Vršac.

In response to Radić's statements, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has ordered the Ministry of Internal Affairs to investigate the circumstances under which Radić provided his interview to RTS. Radić is currently subject to an international arrest warrant following charges of preparing acts against the constitutional order and security of Serbia, as well as disclosing secret data. He left the country four months ago citing concerns for his safety.

Separately, Emir Suljagić, Director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, has raised concerns regarding police investigations in Republika Srpska targeting employees of the state-level institution. Suljagić stated that staff members, many of whom are genocide survivors, are being summoned for questioning by authorities in an entity that has historically denied the Srebrenica genocide.
