Aleksandar Rakić Ends UFC Skid with Belgrade Heavyweight Victory

Aleksandar Rakić snapped a four‑fight losing streak by defeating Marcin Tybura via unanimous decision in his UFC heavyweight debut at an event in Belgrade, Serbia. The 6‑foot‑4 Austrian‑born fighter of Serbian descent moved up from light heavyweight, delivering effective striking and clinch work to secure the win, while the 40‑year‑old Polish veteran suffered his third consecutive loss and faces an uncertain future in the promotion.

UFC president Dana White praised the performance but said he is not convinced Rakić belongs at heavyweight long‑term. White noted the division’s depth and suggested the next opponent could be a top‑15 heavyweight such as Vitor Petrino or another European contender like Serghei Spivac, indicating that Rakić’s placement in the division remains under review.
